Black Mental Health Oregon is a non-profit organization who's mission is to be a mental health resource for our African American or of African decent communities. We aim to be a liaison between the consumer and the provider and to provide ethnocultural effective services, such as educational training and community classes.
Our mission is to give our community and our families the much needed mental health support they deserve in order to create wellness. We are devoted to building moral in the communities of color and to no longer just survive, but thrive.
WE ARE COURAGEOUS:
We are creating courageous spaces for our communities to have conversations about mental health without the stigmas.
WE ARE CREATE AWARENESS AND SUPPORT ADVOCACY:
Through work, peer advocacy and support, we are creating awareness.
WE ARE A RESOURCE:
We are working together with therapists, mental health facilities and different agencies to connect our communities and create an educational hotspot for information related to each service.
WE EDUCATE:
We are hosting a number of educational trainings to bring our community access to education, information and assistance to targeting disparities in the our African American communities.
